The theme of CSWIM 2023 is “Information Systems for Sustainable Digital Futures.” With the rapid pace of technological development, economic shift, societal movement, and climate change, we seek sustainable digital futures that improve the well-being of the people, society, and the planet without depleting resources. To that end, CSWIM 2023 promotes information systems and related technologies to support sustainable development and create a more environmentally and socially responsible digital landscape. We encourage IS research that addresses a wide range of topics related to building a more sustainable future through information systems, which include (but are not limited to) using information systems to support economic growth, social equity, and environmental sustainability. With CSWIM 2023, we hope to bring together IS scholars with various research interests and research approaches, advance the field, and foster collaboration as well as the exchange of ideas.
