The 1st Edition of the Cryptoverse Summit was organised by Wakanda 4.0 on the 18th of May 2022 in Mauritius. The event was attended by nearly 400 participants (physical & virtual). The organiser partnered with ACCA (Mauritius), MIPA, Financial Reporting Council & Gulf Xellence (India) and had Alliott Global Alliance (AGA, UK) as the main sponsor of the event. The least we can say is that the 1st Edition of the Cryptoverse Summit was a huge success.

The 2nd Edition of the Cryptoverse Summit is scheduled for the 17th of May 2023 in Mauritius. The objectives of this edition are as follows:

Bring clarity on the legal framework for Virtual Assets and Virtual Assets Service Providers (VASPs) in Mauritius (the VAITOS Act 2021).

Promote Mauritius as a safe and robust offshore jurisdiction.

Promote Mauritius as a Virtual Asset-friendly jurisdiction.

Give visibility to Virtual Asset and Blockchain projects in Mauritius & Africa.

Bring clarity on how to account for Virtual Assets (update).

The Mauritius VAITOS Act 2021 has been proclaimed on the 7th of February 2022 and our jurisdiction is finally entering the Crypto Space. In order to attract VASPs around the world, Mauritius needs to train its people on Virtual Assets and blockchain technology to be able to professionally deal with international VASPs.

Metaverse platforms have the potential to transform how, when and where companies interact with their customers, as extended reality platforms enable businesses to deliver new experiences and provide information in new ways. Why do companies want the metaverse? The metaverse offers a massive opportunity for all major communication, education, gaming, social media and entertainment companies. The metaverse is becoming so much more than a buzzword, and the reality is that advertisers and marketers will be doing business in a virtual world at an exponential rate as seamlessly as they advertise on social media — and very soon.
